Does anybody know if getting a tattoo can cause a relapse?
No it can’t . What makes you think that?
I was just really wanting to get a tattoo so I thought I would just check if it’s safe.

Getting tattooed actually gets me feeling better between the ears. Well, as far as mood, does no harm in terms of psychosis.

I’ve gotten a tattoo while psychotic and while not psychotic. It didn’t trigger psychosis, but if you’re already psychotic or on the verge of psychosis, maybe hold off on getting a permanent tattoo until you’re feeling better…my psychosis insisted that I tattoo myself so I did and I eventually had to go get that psychosis tattoo covered up because it was ugly.
Tattoos have helped me, though, in terms of chronicling my struggles and stuff. I just wish I had waited until the meds kicked in before i got that one tattoo that i ended up regretting.
