so I look forward to having a severe case of it in near future
Why do you think you age going to develop TD?
U can take this to ur pdoc…!!!
No. You do not want Tardive Dyskinesia. I had it once (allergic reaction to Abilify). It figuratively turns you into a “zombie.” You lose certain jaw/tongue movements and control of certain upper-body muscles. If a “zombie” was a real thing, I’m certain that is what it would be like to be a zombie.
I think it’s generally a bad side effect from an anti-psychotic. If you fear of this, make sure you have a way to transport to the closest hospital or medical facility. It’s THAT bad. Then, obviously you’ll need to try a different med.
I suffer TD as a problems to walk properly and move my tongue . it is such a problem because you will never recover from this, or a least you feel bad for so much time … SO if you are feelling something wrong talk to your doctor,…
turned out I had TD from my cocktail of meds, you DON’T want it trust me! I’m still getting twitches from it. Talk to your pdoc asap!
You’re naive. Get help if you are experiencing it. You don’t it to become permanent.
I was joking and being sarcastic but td is something I’m likely to develop later on if I stay on antipsychotics for a long duration
Not really something you should joke about. You really expect us to be able to tell you were joking? Some of us can’t tell what’s real and what’s delusion.
But in all honesty I’m glad you don’t have it. I really was worried about you. Was.
I have TD…a bad hand tremor and movements of my tongue. I take Cogentin and Ativan for it. However changing meds is really not an option as I have literally been on every other available med (except Closaril because of health reasons) and Loxitane is the ONLY one that works for me. If I had to choose between TD and being locked away for the rest of my life (and I do have to make this choice) then I would unwillingly, have to take the TD. It sucks. Big time.
I had the similar effects. I was trying to work and my hand/arm was moving like a mechanical claw. The tongue and lower jaw pain was the worst, in my opinion. Maybe I lucked out because an injection of Benadryl cured me instantly of the dystonic reaction I had back in 2005.
I like the tag you chose “slow motional” pretty cool.
I had a distonic reaction from Haldol once and my neck twisted around like Linda Blair’s in the Exorcist. LOL. Benadryl did the trick for me then also. Yes, very very painful
I have a tremor in my hands and legs. I’m not looking forward to it getting worse and spreading to my lips and tongue.
