What do you experience with Tactile Hallucinations? Do the meds take them away?
It feels like there is something in my head moving around causing painful emotions and thoughts no the medication does not take it away.
I feel head pain and it feels like someone is controlling it and shifting things up there. I get good sensations sometimes, but mostly pain. I need to find out what medicine I can request to make it go away. I asked my psychiatrist and she doesn’t know what i can take. Once, she recommended ibuprofen. This is waaay bigger than ibuprofen. It’s supernatural like.
Stimulants make these worse.
Avoid coffee
My brain rattles, bugs crawls on me, skin gets prickly, someone who isn’t there touches my shoulder. Yes, meds take them away
When I have tactiles, it’s burning or stabbing sensations. I also used to frequently feel like I was wetting myself, which was quite disturbing.
And I once felt like someone was penetrating me.
Sometimes I feel raindrops on my arms.
After I started Invega, the tactiles almost never come anymore.
It feels like someone is touching me and there’s no one there. I get it especially on the big toe of my right foot and sometimes on my right shoulder. They used to be a lot worse. I would get sexual feelers. They come and go.
Is there a medicine that helps you? I felt violated by an entity also.
I may have to ask my doctor to switch me to invega. I wonder if it gets rid of voices too though.
Sometimes it feels like bugs are crawling on my scalp. I think that’s a pretty normal one though.
But I have felt like my brain was melting. That one was weird.
It didn’t take away my voices, but it made them much quieter
I felt like I was having throbing blood pulsing through my veins and that I was having heart problems.
I haven’t had more tactile hallucinations though since the break Akathesia was a capital B. Thankful there are medications for that.
Hi… What medicine are you taking for tactile hallucinations? I want to take medicine to relieve my issue with it.
Well I don’t know what will work for you and me might be different. I’m on Latuda, I was very sensitive to the medicine.
I’m gonna check with my doctor about Invega 6mg. I’m sensitive to meds too, so I’ll be taking a risk. I need something besides what I’m taking now.
Wait… So sexual feelings at random moments are tactile hallucinations?..
I experience severe tactile hallucinations.
I have spiders crawling on my skin (which is the most common) and usually it’s accompanied by visual and auditory hallucinations.
I had a ‘shadow person’ who tried to kill me, and she started choking me. I felt like I was suffocating.
Feelings as in an invisible entity touching me. I was violated. It was unwanted touching.
Yeah I get that but I thought it was normal for everyone.
I guess meds can’t take away every thing, you don’t want to be so sedated you can’t focus on anything. That’s not a life either. Just as long as you can cope with the tactiles if I were you I would not report it because if SZs are similar I don’t think meds touch that symptom bc mine haven’t ever gone away
