Does anyone here have experience with the long lasting haldol injection as opposed to the pills? My med compliance has left a lot to be desired so I might be switching… any feedback is appreciated!!
For me the pills weren’t strong enough I was eventually put on 50 mgs of Haldol injection every two weeks. I will warn do not stop getting the injection. It has a terrible withdrawal mine lasted 5-6 weeks.
My current doctor wants to try the injections again but ease me into it over the course of several months.
The only side effect I really had was a strange pressure feeling in my head that went away after about a week.
I get the haldol shot. It’s ok. I don’t get any side effects from the shot except maybe weight gain.
