So thats good news. But my case worker still wont call me. I have a phone appointment now on the monday. She didnt call for the last 3 appt. She just says she did. Even tho she doesnt. She says I dont answer but im staring at the phone, she doesnt call. On the 16th the appointment is to determine my payment amount and thats the final step. I doubt she will call. Im gettin so frusturated.

When someone doesn’t call me as agreed upon, I immediately send them a text or email to tell them I’m waiting and expecting their call.

I called and left her a message the first time she didnt call. She ignored it. The second and third times i called the office and they said “she says she called u and u didn’t answer”. Shes “working” from home do]ue to covid so i cant even request an in person appt. I asked for a different case worker. They said ok and said they would make me an appointment for the 13th. Then they made no apptment for the 13th and didnt get me a new case worker. So i went in in person to give them my bank statement on friday and they refused to take it and said “she will call u on the 16th”…yeah right.

That’s unprofessional. Here you have an ombudsman for Government services where you can file a complaint if you’re not happy with a service.

I wish i could. Its been 2.5 years since i applied. Theyve been doing jack â– â– â– â– . My case sat in the last step for over a year and a half.

I will get back pay but less than i should because they havent updated my costs of living for 2.5 years. But i will get some backpay. Assuming they do it right. If they do it right i should get $914 a month from now on. And 200- 400 some a month in backpay. If they dont call me ill get 200 - 400 some a month built in back pay until they do. And i wont get anything til they do.

I really hope i get a good backpay. I gotta pay back my mom, fix my truck, get a phone, and get heat in my house. I just hope they call. And i hope its fast. I need to take care of the truck and the heat quick.

I mean 2.5 years is beyond ridiculous. People who need SSI can’t live that long on nothing.

That how they get u. She asked me 2.5 years ago, “how r u living without an income”. I said my mom is giving me 50 dollars a week. So then they subtract that from the lowest amount benefit. So then the payback can be very low. And they wont approve the 914 a month til u can pay bills which means until they approve u. So u get no money cause u got no money. And the longer they wait, the more they save.

If they somehow screw up this final step and deny me based on me “not answering the phone” after approving me medically disabled then i def will. I just hope that doesnt happen.

In this particular case i believe its race related. There are comments all over this specific offices ratings saying there is a case worker who wont call u unless u are a certain race. And the first time she talked to me she was extremely rude. Shes trying to sabatoge my disability case. That im 90% sure of. Either that or shes pretending to work cause shes at home and no one can tell that shes not. But based on that first call i think she’s intentionally trying to sabotage it.

have you called the national SSA phone number.
When I had issues with payment, medicare deduction taken in error, they fixed it without directly calling my case worker assigned to my case.
