Which dietary supplements can I take without risk of exacerbating schizophrenia and that is good for motivation ?
Because I read a lot of exacerbation of schizophrenia when using dietary supplements .
Thanks.

That is a question I think a lot of us on here have been searching for an answer to. I think most people will respond with diet/exercise.
The damn motivation meds/supplements usually involve dopamine stimulation, unfortunately for us.
I don’t think exercise give us more motivation .
When you do exercise, feeling is good , and perhaps there is an increase in dopamine etc.
But when it’s finished, fatigue and loss of motivation come back
Do you think the same ?
And probably , it’s the same ( fatigue , loss of motivation that come back ) when you make 2 hours of exercises in a day !
What do you think of nac ( n acetyl cysteine ) ?
You have to take this for a long time before having benefits. No?
Vitamins can possibly help, especially B and D vitamins.
Supplements…maybe something that increases libido. Libido and motivation are connected. For example oyster extract, muira puama or ginseng.
I believe exercise increases endorphin production, and that’s linked to increased motivation. Consistency increasing the motivating effects would make sense. More exercise regularly = more consistent endorphin production.
For me, I’ve found that during the tail end of exercise sessions and immediately after, I feel like crap - like you mentioned. Then later that night and the next day I feel more “with it” than normal. I can’t personally attest to more than that, coz I don’t exercise frequently enough.
I wasn’t very familiar with it, but I just looked into NAC. It seems to be something that can help with anxiety and memory. And yes, it needs to be administered long-term to see substantial results. Also doesn’t seem to carry a risk of relapse with it. Studies were done directly on people with schizophrenia - and after 6 months of daily intake, they had improvements in wellbeing.
