The media definitely had an influence on my delusional thoughts. The beginnings of my psychotic break came after I finished reading Chomsky’s Manufacturing Consent. I just couldn’t believe that the American government could be responsible for killing squads and puppet governments in Latin American countries and I started having delusions about New World Orders and all sorts of conspiracies.
I think the reality is that science is inept at explaining schizophrenia. For all the present theories, there is no unifying scientific explanation for our condition and in absence of a genuine scientific explanation, religious and spiritual theories abound to fill the gap.
Sadly, this is becoming reality. It’s possible to spy on people through Skype now. It’s not a case of the government installing cameras and microphones, they’re just accessing the ones you already own on your phones, tablets, laptops, etc. Very strange stuff happened to Sharyl Atkinson while she was investigating Fast and Furious for CBS. I normally wouldn’t pay attention to stuff like this, except that this lady is an extremely reputable journalist.
