I’ve been living rural the last year and I can’t believe the stressors that I don’t encounter.

Cities offer greater chances of remaining anonymous. People with mental illness feel conspicuous in small towns, plus there is greater access to support services and public transport in cities.

I’d say maybe when I was younger. Like before I had sz . Now that I’m diagnosed I’d way rather be in the quiet of a rural area.

People in a lot of rural areas are bigoted, dishonest and scary when it comes to mental illness. That’s probably why they’re drawn to cities that are more liberal.
