Just wondered if anyone else likes anime like Studio Ghibli - my neighbour Totoro, princess mononoke, howls moving castle, etc… ?

I love Ghibli films. I’ve seen most of them. I think Mononoke and Spirited Away are my favs. I like The Wind Rises a lot too.

I liked P. Mononoke and Paprika, although Paprika was a bit triggering at the time because I was semi-psychotic when it came out and it freaked me out. I can watch it now, though, and really like it.
Also, old school anime like the original Ghost in the Shell was awesome! OMG forgot AKIRA, that one is great!

I watch mainly Naruto, One Piece, and One Punch Man. I did see the first few episodes of Ghost in the Shell. It’s so cool I can watch stuff like that from my local online library. That was not possible in my 20’s.

Howl’s Moving Castle is my favorite Miyazaki movie, but they’re all wonderful. I have Totoro plush magnets on my refrigerator.

Yes I love ghibli! I’m actually doing a marathon right now starting with the earliest stuff and going to the most recent. Just finished watching grave of the fireflies which I wouldn’t recommend unless you want to watch a movie that’s just 100% depressing all of the time and is different from any other ghibli movie I ever saw. (No whimsy or silly fun characters or beautiful music, etc…) It’s not bad, but it wasn’t my cup of tea.
My favorites are Howl’s Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Ponyo and The Cat Returns

i love them all, and don’t have a favorite. but if I had to chose its a tie between howl’s moving castle and ponyo. ponyo was just so cute of a movie. I watched it with my partner’s little sister and her nieces they loved that movie.

I like Studio Ghibli’s animations. I watched Princess Mononoke, Spirited Aways, Howl’s Moving Castle, etc. I have just discovered that there other movies created by Studio Ghibli, like The Tale of Princess Kaguya, Whisper of the Heart and My Neighbor Totoro.

Oh, now that I think of it I did see Spirited Away years ago on Cartoon Network. I’m not well versed in that type of anime I guess.
I like it. Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind reminds me of my friend who analysed films. I still like the movie, but I get sad thinking of him.
I will try to see more of them.
