Anyone using stimulants while having schizophrenia and made things worse for the positive symptoms? And if that, still using stimulants?

I have strattera but it is not a stimulant I don’t think. My doctor won’t prescribe Ritalin even though I have ADHD
I think nicotine helps me keep a sharp mind when otherwise I’d be very tired
Drink less coffee these days
The strongest stimulant I have ever taken was cocaine/crack
But I do not think this did my brain or body much use
Can see why some people are getting hooked on things like adderall

Generally drs in my trust / clinic don’t proscribe stimulants for psychotic disorder patients, I’m convinced I have a level of adhd so it’s a bit difficult sometimes
Does that even help? I was under the impression it causes psychosis
Strattera is a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) and Ritalin is a central nervous system stimulant.

My doctor thinks it’s safe but you should talk to yours about it

It helps a bit, I need to test it more. It’s long lasting though and puts me in a sort of relaxed mood.
