I took this test too. My score was higher than I thought. It was 112.
Ughhhh why is IQ partially based on the ability to do mental math. I can’t do mental math to save my life, and why would I need to be able to do mental math when I have my phone calculator on me at all times.
I didn’t even want to finish that test because the math was exhausting me.

Sigh. I think this test is inaccurate. I know I’m slow, but a lot of these questions are loaded towards mental math. I’m pretty sure a lot of people cheat with calculators or something. There’s no way my IQ is 70-90. I didn’t even finish the test. 25 questions in 6 minutes? come on.
I have had my IQ professionally done when I was a child and it was 117.

I like those tests better. The Raven tests. Some people don’t do well on them, but I think they’re more accurate. I mean it’s an online test, but it’s better than most. I’ve taken a lot and seen a lot. Official tests are always the best. I never had one. SAT scores are pretty good too. You can correlate scores to IQ scores.
Don’t be mad. If you only missed 5 that’s pretty good and your score should be high. I tend to do really well on them and usually score in the 120s-130s. I believe I got 60 right, but I thought I missed a few. Some of them are tricky. Some seem very simple.

The Culture/non-verbal tests are better for the majority of people as a measure of intelligence with a lot of the cultural bias taken away and knowledge through education excluded. This is because most people score very evenly between non-verbal and verbal ability.
They are not good for people with a significant PIQ>VIQ or VIQ>PIQ . For that small minority of people IQ will be overestimated with PIQ>VIQ and underestimated with VIQ>PIQ.

With a significant PIQ>VIQ VIQ>PIQ it is not recommended to give a full scale IQ.
“The Full Scale IQ is an averaging of these five scales, so it’s only meaningful if the scales are consistent. If a child is superior in verbal reasoning, but below average in visual spatial skills, the full scale number looks average. It’s akin to having an average body temperature because your hair is on fire while your feet are in a bucket of ice water.”
Case in point I scored 22/25 138-162 on this test, but my online non-verbal scores average about 75 . Indeed my non-verbal score could be even less as I’m 80-90% clueless of the answers ie taking a random shot in the dark with the answers. Just by random chance through guessing one should be able to get some answers right. A probability calculator can be found at https://en.commtap.org/mcprobcalc
Thus it is possible to inflate scores through guessing. https://www.sqaacademy.org.uk/mod/book/tool/print/index.php?id=10654&chapterid=5499 has a formula to factor in for guessing. Of course this presumes that some guessing went on which may not always be true. Sometimes people genuinely try to work out an answer but just get it wrong.
Nonetheless taking it a face value my 22 becomes 22 - (3/(4-1)) therefore Score = 21.

I’ve always been relatively good at it, though nowhere near maths whizz kid level. I was OK/quite good at arithmetic, just about passable at algebra and atrocious at geometry. Indeed translate my geometry ability to an IQ if you could, and it would be borderline or below functioning.
