Star Trek discussion

Continuing the discussion from Just for fun. What generation are you?:

I’m officially busting the ST talk out into its own thread.

That’s Star Trek, not Star Wars. Anyone trying to push the latter in this thread will wind up in an arranged marriage with Jar Jar Binks.

Lol, Star Trek rules supreme, though, I do also like Star Wars quite a bit also.

I can’t wait until the second season of Strange New Worlds; I thought they did the first season really well. It was actually the newest Trek that I actually liked and felt was worthy of the name. If y’all haven’t watched it yet, I highly recommend it.

I’m also making my way through Voyager currently, though I’m only on season 2. Neelix is the worst character in all of Star Trek, though, lol.

I’m totally OG Star Trek, I even belonged to “Starfleet” when I was a kid, uniform and everything. Live long and prosper!

I’ve seen every episode of the old star trek and most likely the next generation. The episode with the gorn and kirk is probably the most famous old star trek episode. The Borg episodes were great

That’s about all I can say. Lol. It was a long time ago

Ah, but the new stuff is now the old stuff:

This show is about the Enterprise under the command of Captain Pike, before Kirk. Everyone who loved TOS loves SNW.

Also, season two of SNW is on the way.

Nitpick about Picard S03E10 (contains spolier - don’t read if you haven’t watched it yet):

I know the Ent D was used for sentimental reasons, but there was another ship at the Fleet Museum with a more accomplished history of defeating the Borg: Voyager. Future Janeway equipped the ship with special ablative shielding and transphasic torpedos that was used in the final battle at the end of that series. They whupped serious cyborg booty.

I would have boosted the Voyager to use in any battle with the Borg.
