When you received your ssi backpay did you receive it in 3 installments 6 months apart?
I see no one is answering your question so I thought I would respond with a sort of answer.
I don’t get ssi but my ssdi backpay came in one lump sum. Don’t know if this information helps or not. Not sure if they do it the same way.

Ssi backpack might be separated out to help you keep benefits? Not sure, I’m just making ■■■■ up, but it seems reasonable since they have so many limits on what you can have.

I remember I had a letter about it.
I called and they said it’s a bank savings.
I can’t hold more than 2,000$.

Yeah i was told my ssi payments would be in 3 separate payments but they really confused me with a letter when they sent me more backpay than i was expecting ao i dont know if ill be getting more.
