But curiousity got the best of me and I decided to see what I got.

Thought that was interesting. I had a dream that I incorporated into the books I am writing a while back about an Owl dropping down from the heavens and telling me that the heavens had opened and a noose would be the prize I could accept. I thought it was a pretty prophetic dream and so I included in my book.
Damn i wish i could actually see one of those things, the dodo bird has sparked my interest for awhile, i wonder what it looked like when they walked, what they sounded like.
Those spirit animal quizes may or may not be accurate as i have taken a few in the past and come out with my real spirit animal , but also with others unrelated…
Mine is Wolf, but I have a secondary in Raven.
I have also received many real signs from Hawks and an Owl…the Owl is a powerful totem animal, not just a death symbol as you say.
The Whippoorwill singing is actually more a death symbol, and such a bird sang from the very place my wife died the night she died…
But Wolf is the animal whose spirit has always been attached to me, which also includes dogs of course…but NOT little ankle bitters, probably because they are bred so far distant from their wolfen ancestors, they are barely canids any more and just bite ankles of the species who genetically manipulated them…
I’ve just found I got followed around by one enough and they cheer me up and hang out around my board when I’m waiting for the surf and hang out near the beach when I’m walking.
Since they cheer me up… and I try to emulate them and enjoy their care free nature… I’ve sort of picked them for guidance… or they picked me… either way…
They are very good parents, curious and social… all the things I hope to be.

I was just watching a hummingbird we have at the nectar feeder I put up …
A person can have more than one spirit animal…usually one main one and then others that help along the way. Strangely when the owl swooped at me and sailed into the moon back in the 80s it was a sign of life being brought into the world…
