I feel the same. I sound different in every language. It’s like having a different energy in each language.

Not buying this. I’m annoying as a person in both English and French.

I have the same feelings and I try to find the common ground both in Chinese and in English.

English is my primary language but I also learned to speak German as a child since my parents (who were German emigrants) spoke German at home In addition to English.

I listen to a lot of German youtube channels. It’s a good way to pick up more current expressions and slang terms. I am still able to easily understand spoken German. I also still speak German fluently.

I have noticed from youtube videos that the word “quasi” is frequently used as a sort of filler word in spoken German.
