Some people here are not sz?

I wouldn’t be surprised if y’all find me. I post like every day and use hashtags

Hah. We had to fight to just get the SZ/SZA forum, which is still clogged with non-DXed posts. Good luck with that!

:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It is also a completely unreasonable suggestion. This is a public forum, not a gated community. We’re not going to screen potential members.

@anon92220549 I have sz but wouldn’t call the years I was continually and increasingly psychotic an episode.

I think we are forgetting about those whose diagnosis change. Also, some illnesses overlap, and the person might be triggered into needing APs. A concrete diagnosis requiment, I think, is unfair.

This is a forum for people who have experienced psychosis not just a forum for people with schizophrenia. I came here in 1998 when still diagnosed primarily with schizoaffective mixed type and occasionally bipolar. In 2005 there was a dramatic change to personality disorder NOS . That changed to paranoid PD some time between 2008-2013. Fast forward to last October and the pdoc is saying schizophrenia and autism are the most likely diagnoses.

Some people have a constant diagnosis but others slip in and out of diagnoses. In the latter case should people really quit when they’ve had psychosis but are deemed not to have schizophrenia only to come back if and when they’re diagnosed with schizophrenia again? To my mind that would be utterly ridiculous.

I am extremely anti-gatekeeping. If this forum helps people with their experiences of psychosis or even partial breaks from reality, then that’s all that is truly important. My diagnosis is in limbo because of my current psychiatrist but this forum has been really useful for me whether or not I’m experiencing “true” psychosis.

Do you have positive symptoms?

i have no symptoms so asking, do you want me to go away?

I still think I’m normal and everyone else is fuucking crazy.

i wish there was a spectrum of normality, i’d love to see where i was and it would be interesting to see where others were on the spectrum here.

Well I’m reckoned to have had delusions .

I joined the forum back in January 2016 when the diagnosed and family forums were one forum. Here’s a post from Nov 2016…

Well, crap. Now what do I do with all these blood samples?!?

:sob:

@Om_Sadasiva brrr …that scares me. Im already a little paranoid about such things. Hope it is okay for you now.

I personally hope there wont be gatekeepers chasing non-diagnosed people away. Im not even sure what my label is. I got so paranoid when they said i had schizophrenia that they never dared to use the word again. :grimacing: (really). Instead, last time, they told me something like: “we are not going to put labels on you, but your psychotic vulnerability is the most prominent of your issues and it is not explained by a fullblown personality disorder”.

I hope that qualifies and i dont need to ask to have my label back.

I’m the only schizophrenic on here. The rest of you are fakes.
