Just got a call saying my ss NUMBER was suspended. I called and it looks like a scam. It was from a 1 800 number. Anyone get this stuff?
Definitely a scam. the SS office sends stuff through the mail, they don’t call

I’ve gotten the same thing recently.
Yes it’s a scam I got that call too. They are going to call you back and try to tell you you’re going to jail if you don’t send them money. Just hang up. They are pretty persistent so expect many calls. And it’s very upsetting so don’t worry, you’re not alone. This scam gets to many people.

Last time i got one of those in the uk - i did a three way call to the police. Quite entertaining hearing an indian trying to con a police officer - not knowing they were recording him.
There was a time a got a call saying my tax returns were wrong twice a week - simply cos they harvested my phone number from a dodgy pay-day loan company i foolishly gave my details too.
Wind em up and have some fun with em. Dont lose any sleep over it.

Social security numbers don’t just “get suspended” apropos nothing. Total scam.

There should be 30 year prison sentences in solitary confinement for those found scamming . In order to discourage others planning to go down that route .

I get calls like that all the time
Only about 5x a day. The Canadian equivalent is saying your Social Insurance Number (SIN) has been suspended. Just install Should I Answer if you have Droid. Works like a hot damn and it’s free. I only have to answer my phone maybe 3x a month now.
