I haven’t had a drop of alcohol in about a little over a year. I have to say I’m quite proud of myself.
I hope I can someday be a positive influence on someone else who struggles with such a powerful and devastating addiction.
Today I am going to pick up the big AA book from the library. On top of like, three other books I am currently reading lol.
Blessings to you all.

That is awesome @turningthepage !
Keep it up. I am proud of you. And thank you. As a fellow alcoholic told me one day: “Take it one day at a time.”
Blessings and peace

Thank you!
You can do it. But that’s only if you think you have a problem with alcohol.

Even if you don’t have a problem, I think it’s a great encouragement to those that should stop or are trying to stop. You are a great influence ! keep it up.

Thank you! Part of me feels like buying a pint of crap whiskey, and the another part of me is like: “What are you thinking?”
I suppose sobriety is a life long journey.

Thank you for the encouragement, having hallucinations can sometimes add to the stress but I’ve come this far.

Just remember if you slip up it will take you a year to regain what you will be loosing. That’s what keeps me going I’ve been sober almost 6 years. Also the fact I have a nephew that’s an alcoholic. I have no influence on him if I drink. Also a good witness to my faith.
