5 years out of hospital. 5 years sober

So that’s my little victory against the disease.

I had to go to A.A. in 2003 as I couldn’t quit booze on my own and got lucky and they helped.

But I became psychotic 5 years ago and ended up drinking and in hospital. So that reset my sobriety date.

Congratulations! I’ve got two years and two months sober myself. It’s still a temptation, but alcohol isn’t as available to me as it was in the past. I can get it now, but not as easily. That has helped me stay sober.

Congratulations, on both counts!

A respectable accomplishment. For a practicing alcoholic staying sober for one day is a big accomplishment. So five years is amazing.

Congrats! I have 19 years off of benzos. Sometimes I could really use some benzos, but it would be a mistake for me.

Congrats. I go 1-2 times a year, unfortunately. So I guess every 6 months ago. I’m in outpatient, so I guess that counts. I’ve been sick for 8 years. I’m still below the 10 year mark. I haven’t worked or gone to school in 8 years, unfortunately. 5 years is a very long time and a great accomplishment.

I think I feed my fantasies and delusions. I have anxiety and fear when driving so I don’t drive much or at all. I wish to overcome these things.
