Depixol (otherwise known as fluanxol or flupenthixol)
Isnt it typical ap? How is it? I was on haloperidol depot it caused me a parkinsonism and akathisia. Are you prescribed something for the akathisia? I was prescribed artane, but deliriants to me are really scary so I stopped taking it

Yeah it’s a typical med. I really like it. Apart from 2 weeks ago i have never had any problems with it. Haloperidol gave me the worst akathisia but 99% of the time depixol doesn’t.
I take procyclidine 2 x 5g a day. This is also known as kemadrin and is a Parkinson’s med to help with the extra pyramidals
Depixol is a very strong med, in the same way Haldol is, but it hasn’t left me completely zombified in the way Haldol did
In my opinion I find if you get lucky and find a typical you can tolerate well it generally is more effective than most atypicals

Glad for you, I thought haloperidol was good to me until I could not bear it anymore. I am back on Invega, not sure if ill relapse or not, but im on a higher dose than the last time i took it

I have never tried invega. I am a bit wary of it as I hard a hard time on respiridone
Well its less drowsing than risperidone and has sexual side effects like loss of morning erections, dry ejaculations and delayed orgasms. I wouldnt take for those side effects, but Invega makes me feel closest of being normal person again

Are you on the invega depot?
Yeah Im on a higher dose of Invega, 156mg (100mg xeplion). I mean the sedation on Invega is different than on typical AP’s. On invega im more relaxed (sleepy - sedated way) and on haloperidol I felt like being in a mental and emotional cage

Jimbob I was in a depot crisis the last 2 weeks as well. Because I had quite 160 mg Ziprasidone and 250 mg qutiapine cold turkey 2 months ago I got some involuntary movement of the jaw and tongue. Today I got my 400 mgs Clopixol depo. Well That seems to have passed. Lucky lucky me. Besides of the depot I take two anti Parkinson’s pill and one 300 mgs pill Seroquel.
