I have a friend that always wants to convert me to the consipiracies he believes…I just nod my head and go along with him because you can’t reason with him…I think I won’t talk to him much more.

I don’t see how beiliving In conspiracies is any worse than being schizophrenic and having delusions in terms of people laughing at them or us. Like I don’t hate on those people although I disagree and hope they get some sense in them! What makes schizophrenic people so much better??? At least a lot of conspiracy people aren’t on embarrassing meds that make you fat and you can’t even think straight!

I think the reason why conspiracy theorists get so much flak is because, well, schizophrenics are expected to think in a delusional way, and conspiracy theorists are expected to know better and use some common sense.

I do think that misinformation and conspiracy theories like qanon and such are dangerous and very damaging to people but it’s sad and I don’t think we should be making fun of that
I think there’s a huge difference from being schizophrenic and believing in conspiracy theories.
Some conspiracy theories can be pretty harmful to society.
Remember those right wing wackos who stormed the Capitol? They were all conspiracy theorists with weapons.
