So my kids decided we should eat healthier

Which is all good but not sure what to make. Today we are having roast chicken sandwiches with roasted chicken and cheese and lettuce on whole wheat bread. For snack we have grapes and carrots maybe with a few crackers. I drink coffee. We also drink water and orange juice. My son and I also drink tea occasionally.

Not sure about the rest of the week. Chicken thighs for sure. Not sure that spaghetti is all that healthy.

Cutting out meat and cheese would probably be a good start. But I don’t eat very healthy, honestly. I maintain a healthy weight and have a decently varied diet and otherwise just focus on enjoying my food.

You can use whole wheat pasta or zoodles or carrot noodles for spaghetti then add veggies and fresh tomatoes. They make some pretty decent turkey or chicken sausages, that you can slice and add to the spaghetti, that is fairly lean although they typically have a fair amount of sodium.

Grilled, roasted, and steamed chicken and fish are very healthy. You can make your own sauces that have lower sodium content. Quinoa is very good, as opposed to pasta or rice.
