So many red flags. What would you do?!

New nurse/Dr not in the same state as me (telehealth) so if I have problems I might not be able to contact her,

she won’t touch meds until she checks with a real dr (she’s a nurse) and wanted me to wait a week but I was hesitant to proceed and she got me in sooner,

if she’s out of office I’ll see a different dr I’ve never met before,

said wants me to stop 4 meds to try clozapine but has to check with a dr,

says she can’t monitor me because out of state so to do certain changes I’d need to be inpatient.

Should I try a different local psych dr? Go back to my old local psych that I don’t care for? See if I can get into a PHP program to be better monitored for med changes? I’m no threat to myself so I can’t be inpatient.

I’m leaning towards PHP or trying a different local psych.

I think trying a PHP or a local psych doctor is good. I don’t want to tell you what to do, but sticking with the same doctor and getting into a PHP will help you get the medication now. Good for you for being vigilant over your mental health.

Thanks @HollyHobbie

I called and canceled my next appt with the nurse I saw today.

I will give my current local psych nurse another chance. She’s not great but she’s way better than who I saw today

I am out of the loop these days how it all works where you are (assuming the US)

I would definitely go for someone local if it were me.
