So far the med reduction has been a success - early days though

Felt more energised and less hungry.

When I came off meds completely I felt on top of the world for a few weeks. Then I crashed. I think this is a common scenario. So keep an eye on things.

What have you reduced the seroquel to now?

Am on 400mg seroquel down from 600 then 500. Gonna stay on 400for two weeks.

Yeah the idea of crashing following euphoria is scary. I promise I will tell my nurse and go back on APs if that happens.

Even if I could just end up on the depot I I would be happy.

Sounds like you’re being sensible about it. I hope it works out.

Have contacted my nurse and told her secretary I want my depot next week as normal. Feel a bit better now.

So my focus is just coming off the seroquel.

I remember things turned around for you once you went on seroquel. If you can better tolerate 400mg or lower and it still does the job, then I’d consider going into a holding pattern. Just my opinion.

You’re doing great! You’re doing this responsibly and informing your health care providers and you’re not quitting cold turkey. And you’re keeping a log of what is going on while you come down off meds. Good on you!
