So embrrassed (trigger warning supreme grosseness)

:flushed: Blocked toilet. I tend to go from quite bad constipation to loose. The latter had to come after the former had blocked the toilet!!

Do you have a toilet plunger you can use to unblock your toilet?

I don’t. My granddaughter has said she’ll ask her mum’s next door neighbours if she can borrow theirs, and come round tomorrow morning. Cleaner due tomorrow. She hangs the washing I do every Monday on the clothes horse plus doing cleaning . Have asked s/daughter to tell her not to come tomorrow . It might be easy to sort but I’ve gone into embarrassed/hyper anxious/self disgusted/wanting a giant floating mouth to swallow me whole mode.

Next time you go shopping, maybe get a toilet plunger so you have one on hand. They’re not expensive and they are pretty easy to use.

Interesting! I’ve never used that type of plunger. It got very good reviews on Amazon plus it comes in attractive colors. :+1: :toilet:

Im sorry I dont have many suggestions but when i first went to my partners house I blocked the downstairs toilet… luckily it wasn’t because of that but I was embarrassed… and the next time I went he asked me kindly to not block the toilet  I completely emphasise

I clogged my in laws toilet the first time I met them at their house. In my defense their toilet did not flush well.

Buy a plunger at the local Dollar Store and fix it yourself.

You’re learned helplessness isn’t doing you any favours.

The water level was low in the toilet tank. It’s been adjusted.

Usually I’d try to. I hadn’t even realised the plunger at my last place hadn’t come here when I moved. Step daughter used one she had. It worked a fair bit, but a housing association worker still had to come out .

It’s not always about 'learned helplessness as you very simplistically said. We all have strengths and weaknesses. That doesn’t mean we deserve to be subjected to smart alecky and snide comments when we can struggle sometimes.

I’m trying to help you look after yourself better.

I was being serious, not smart alecky or snide.

You have this habit when people have problems of being less than understanding . I struggle with some things ,but do the best I can.

And you have a habit of getting defensive when people are being truthful with you.

@anon39054230, some people struggle with what others think are easy things.

Though I do believe it’d be beneficial to learn to plunge a toilet, @firemonkey. It fairly easy. Just get a good plunger.

That’s your opinion You’re entitled to it, but that doesn’t make it right.

I had a plunger. I’d used it several times at my old address with varying amounts of success. I thought it had come with me when I moved. It hadn’t. As that was the 1st blocked toilet in the 34 months I’ve been here I hadn’t realised that till today.

I’ve ordered .
