These were the culprits. They’d look at you whilst eating the grapes!~ They had no shame but knew when the things were choice and ready for plucking!

squirrels ate most of our veggie plants last summer.
we had them in big pots on the deck.
they come up to the deck cuz we have bird seed on it,
it’s nothing to see 4 or 5 squirrels out there at one time.
I think they bring their friends. ha.

possums have that kinda deranged look. they are close to harmless tho they are not the kind of critter to actually attack. they try to look scary when frightened tho

As cute as these possum are, I can’t help but think they’re gonna gnaw on my face. They hiss and are nomadic. While I’m incompatico with possum, I’ve extended the olive branch when a few years back on my way home from work late at night I saw grown possum in the middle of the road. It was on its side, wasn’t moving, and I pulled over took it by its tail and moved it to the sidewalk. Was it playing its namesake? I wouldn’t put it past the weasely little fellar.
