Right now, I’m working on the following song and musical pieces on my digital, Yamaha piano:
The Sound of Silence, by Paul Simon.
Largo, by Frédéric Handel.
Tocatta in D Minor, by J S Bach.
My teacher told me today that I’ve made a lot of improvements and encouraged me to keep it up. I really soaked that up because his complements are rare indeed.
I told my teacher today that I was thinking about buying another acoustic piano. He approved of that. ( I got rid of my old, beat up piano.)
Because she takes piano playing seriously and wants to be guided gently but firmly on her road to excellence instead of hitting a roadblock and giving up like I did after ditching my teacher many years ago.
Not for decades. Only a decade and a half. Pianists and other instrumentalists can have teachers their whole lives. There’s always something new to learn in music.
Have you ever heard any of Nobuo Uematsu’s final fantasy piano pieces? If I knew how to play I’d totally get some of the sheet music. Good on you for having a hobby!
