But presumably if you visit this page it’s because you believe you’re somewhere on the spectrum. It’s odd you resolutely refuse to get a diagnosis.

OP has a diagnosis of depression, it can give very severe negative symptoms.

Yes doctors dxd depression but its not actually depression as in depression there is strong negative emotions, thoughts etc. In this mind is empty, no thoughts, no emotions its almost like carrying a blank mind. Depression medications like ssri, serotonin improving things can make memory worse in this condition as it reduces dopamine levels even further.

Depression does not always mean a sad mood and negative emotions. Many people feel very empty and say that they have an “empty head”. I think that the feeling of emptiness also includes a poor awareness of time and life in general, because one does not suffer anything.

In this paper: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/333052182_Simple_Schizophrenia_A_Forgotten_Diagnosis_in_Psychiatry
They say that antipsychotics help some people with simple schizophrenia.

This is incorrect, you can have depression and feel numb rather than sad, in fact, it’s quite common.

but I don’t think I’m “just” depressed. I’m in a state where I can hardly say what’s going on. I come stupider every year. I know it’s bad for me, but I can’t feel it. It is very especially a state of stuck in the mind and the inability to get back and wake up. Like when you think deeply about something and your brain stays that way.

Clearly this is something you need to discuss with your doctor. And of course you can always get a second opinion, but to be honest I don’t think you’ll gain much clarity from discussing it here.

yes I agree. I was just wondering if anyone had the same problem. Psychiatric diagnosis is a medical opinion and can be easily mistaken, because there is no reliable examination such as for example magnetic resonance imaging.
