Silly Putty

Do any of you guys remember Silly Putty? My daughter plays with it and when I touch it I really want to eat it like a very weird feeling that I must. Anyone remember Silly Putty?

The kids that were living with us last summer made silly putty type stuff all the time. Never got the urge to eat it, though.

Did you want to eat it ever?

I have some silicone teething necklaces for my daughter and I can never resist chewing on them. Like, I just get this overwhelming urge to bite it as hard as possible. I’m pretty sure I chew on them more than she does. Lol

Silly putty is amazing! I also make homemade slime and all that. Really helps me out since I like to fidget and have ASD. It’s called a stim in the autism community because it helps stimulate people with sensory issues.

I had silly putty when I was a kid but it and all slime like products got banned after I accidentally stuck a huge glob of blue slime to the ceiling staining it permanently. And when i accidentally got a huge glob ground into the carpet.

That’s cool that you make your own how do you do it?? I stim a lot too!

I ate some… I hope I won’t be sick

I used to like to copy the comics from the newspaper with it.

Never really found another use for it.

Yeah, it was always in the same aisle as the slinky and Play Dough and the Etch-a-Sketch in the drugstores when I was a kid. I always opted for G.I. Joe, Gumby & Pokey and Hot Wheels though.

They still sell a knock off version of it around Christmas time at a local 99 cents store.
