My mother in law is super sick.
She’s got stroke level high blood pressure every morning and super low, almost passing out low blood pressure in the afternoon.
This is the third day in a row I’ve tried to get them (my husband and mother in law) to call an ambulance.
I’m sick of being ignored.
I’m the one that has to take care of her sick ass and I’ve got no say in her healthcare?
So tempted to just roll the dice and call an ambulance anyway.
She’s in bad enough shape they’ll figure some way to admit her.
Why does it have to be like this?
What would you do?

What does her doctor say?

He keeps telling us to change the BP medication to lower doses and it’s not working on any level.
She’s supposed to see her kidney doctor Wednesday,
But I don’t feel like they’re taking it very seriously.
They aren’t the ones taking care of her.

Call the ambulance. She could literally die of stubbornness if you dont.

Do you yourself risk repercussions if you do call an ambulance? Like is your hubby gonna throw a ■■■■ fit?
Don’t know the full situation but yes I would call an ambulance if it’s that bad.

No.
He won’t have a fit if I call,
I talked to him and he said to call an ambulance if her blood pressure doesn’t come up.

I’m glad he agreed. It isn’t right putting so much pressure on you!

Hopefully things will start to look up for you Rexy. Please let us know after a while how things are going.

Yeah, I echo what others have said, I think you should call an ambulance.
It sounds like she needs hospice care.
Take care.

I would call the ambulance without asking. Just do it when her levels are stroke high, or passing out low. Both scenarios are life threatening

Good luck, Goldenrex. I don’t have much advice because I’ve never been in your shoes, I just hope it all works out.
My mom sacrificed a few years caring for my Granddad when he became terminal, but he went downhill fast and she was only a caretaker for two years.
