Should I move in with my partner for a few weeks

Should I take a pause on my job and move in with my partner for a couple of weeks? I cannot stay in the same environment as my brother, it really is not healthy for me. My mum is taking his side. She says he throws things anyway when he’s upset so I shouldn’t have called the police on him but he was directly throwing things at me and trying to hit me.

If i were you i would. I grew in a home with people similar to your brother and had an ex like that. Its awful and probably terrible on your mental health.

I would move in with your partner. Your brother was trying to hit you and that is unacceptable and scary.

I don’t think it’s healthy for someone who has experienced psychosis to stay in a stressful home situation. Things like that can cause a relapse.

I would move in with your partner. Given that he’s okay with it. You seem to get along well, so it shouldn’t be an issue.

I would move in with your partner and see how it goes living with him. Best of luck to you.

I’d get out of there if possible. That’s all just way too triggering and stressful for someone who’s already mentally ill.

I agree with everyone else. You should get out of there, ASAP, especially since you have someplace to go (your partner’s place). Best of luck to you.

I’m on my way to his place but I’ll only stay a couple of days till things get settled.

Ok. Good luck @anon25873142. I hope everything calms down that way and you’ll be comfortable going back home soon

I’m sorry your brother is having issues like that. I would try moving in with your partner, to at least see what it’s like. Hopefully everything simmers down for you at home. Good luck to you @anon25873142
