So really, i think if you are mentally disabled, people can take advantage of you. So when i was in the hospital, the nurse and my mom told me to write a letter to my psychiatrist. And I wrote a letter saying about my paranoia and how i want to know the truth. Next day he ripped my letter with a pencil and said ‘this is the truth.’ A day later, he came to me and was like ‘what do you want?’ See he was prescribing me medicine for schizophrenia, and like all patients i was in denial. So i said ‘ok whatever your the doctor’ and he yelled,’ YOU BET I AM!’ and then i started crying and he was like you can leave if you want. And i asked the nurse to call the police and he was like ‘you call the police.’
The doctors main job is to teach us to think for ourselves. Bottom line trust your judgement on the matter.
i think you are taking the actions of someone who is trying to help you, a little bit too personally.
if you feel threatened talk to one of the nurses or a family member you trust.
remember you are sz, you are paranoid and therefore we sz are not the best judge of what is truly going on .
take a deep breath, get a second opinion on the situation from someone present who is not sz…
know some one cares.
take care
You could always request a different doctor. I don’t think the police would be able to help you at all.
I agree. Try another doctor this one doesn’t sound professional for your needs.
i would pretty much across the board advise against involving police in your medical if you at all can. simply because having a psychotic disorder tends to put one in the position of not being believed. it’s ■■■■■■■■ and unfair, but it’s always been the case in my personal experience. even getting the law involved at all=ultimately embarrassing experience for me.
i agree with others who suggested you explore other options for care. engaging patients that way does strike me as rather unprofessional. even if you’re upset, him getting upset isn’t the professional response at all.
Ya we will see. But I think they can’t use our illness as an excuse to do whatever they want. Or atleast they should have cameras and recorders when the doctor comes to see you…gheeze
