I’m having a hard time making a decision, so I thought I would enlist you all’s aid in making it.
A friend of mine recently suggested buying this system for carbonated drinks. I thought it was a good idea and I brought it up with my dad, because it’s his kitchen and he basically said that he doesn’t want to make room for it in his kitchen. He also brought up what he thought the negatives would be of having one. Having to constantly buy the supplies, whether the drinks would be cold, etc etc. He thought it would be a hassle.
If I bought one, I would likely have to keep it in my bedroom since dad doesnt want it taking up space in kitchen. I don’t have tons of extra room in here at this point, and I’m not sure of hauling liquids in here all the time. There is also the possibility that I could keep it somewhere in basement or something, but again the issue of hauling stuff around persists.
In recent months I have restarted drinking a fair amount of diet soda, so I like the idea in theory, and it would probably save money in the long run, but my dad probably won’t be thrilled about storing supplies and also there are the negatives from the above paragraph.
If I decide to get one, I will likely buy on next paycheck in a few days. What do you think? I can’t decide.
I remember once you posted your pic of Maggie (hopefully if I am not wrong with the name)
You had occupied so much space just of soda.
You should get one.
Haha, yeah, we store some of the soda that is not in the fridge next to maggies rug where she sits when waiting for a treat. I remember a couple of those pics on her rug. Good observation and memory.
ok thanks @An_the-c-ology . I don’t want you to get the impression that I drink all that. There are 3 of us, plus my niece is here twice a week and drinks quite a bit as well. Thank you for your opinion
IDK, but maybe ask @shutterbug if a Sparkel machine is really cost effective if you buy the powder in bulk and mix it yourself. If you buy the ingredients from the manufacturer (already mixed) I’m not sure if you’ll be saving money but if you buy bags of that stuff you might make back what you payed for the machine and save money.
This is what I mean of course. Mixing your own will void the warranty and possibly damage the machine but plenty of peopler do it anyways.
I have saved enough using the bulk powders to pay for the machine twice over. And that’s not counting what I’ve saved not buying retail. I portion into these:
I would never cut up my own fruit because I’m too lazy, but if I ever did, you can bet that’s what I’d do with it .
Looks like a nifty appliance, and defos smaller than a standard Keurig coffee machine… Says no Co2 tank required, so that’s a lot of space you’re saving right there.
I dunno @Bowens— seems nice and perhaps worth looking into a bit more for sure, especially since you and your fam drink a good amount of pop/soda.
