i want to quit this medicine permanently.but i suffer from extreme anxiety even after 2 weeks. so people who successfully quited it share how you did it and how long it took to not to depend on it

Do you want to switch to another antipsychotic or get off of them for good?
I stopped it recently, by reducing the dose by 5mg every week. I didn’t notice any withdrawals from stopping it

I’m with you even if I am withrawing from another med, about your anxiety, did you taper it properly?
Are you quitting meds altogether or switching to a different AP?
I really hope you have talked about this with a doctor and have their approval.

yes .was 2.5 mg.then 1.125 mg for 2 weeks then zero
Zyprexa has been good for me! It’s better than another and I do well.
It will never be what you had before. It won’t be like you expect for the future but for most it’s better than nothing. If you need it…and you struggle try something else! There’s so much choice these days and untreated psychosis is simply brain damage!
