Shakey fingers is from smoking cigs?

I’m getting shakey fingers, wonder if its from all the smoking. Maybe its time to quit

you could probably do some research to find other ways to alleviate the symptom… if you wind up struggling to quit…

Among the several diagnoses I was given on my first hospitalization… parkinson’s was on the list… oh what fun that’ll be if that’s how the cookie crumbles…

But the shakes are a sign of neurological crap… try taking serotonin or reducing caffeine… perhaps eating better and getting healthier sleep… or also dropping the nicotine habit…

How is your blood sugar? Ever tested for anything like hypoglycemia problems? Or something like anemia? Just throwing out some additional possibilities. I get low blood sugar easily and it gives me hand tremors.

I get shaky fingers and hands from the pills! I don’t smoke cigarettes or have problems with my blood-sugar levels, either.

I’m scared of getting tardive diskinesthesia or however it’s spelled—but I think it’s here in my hands already.
I’m 32 years old.

Does that usually develop after a long time on atypicals or can it happen it faster? It was one of my big concerns when my last pdoc wanted me on atypicals. Made me want to just use them for short term maintenance instead of full time.

gee, I couldn’t be sure.
I started atypicals around age 22-ish, but the hand tremors might not have started coming until a couple years later…with a big gap of being off meds in between.

I know there’s a pill that takes away hand tremors…I got put on haldol once and the doctor saw my hands were already shaky as was…
so old school meds like haldol can do that, too.
there is a pill out there that stops the tremor, though.
