Serious Reasons to quit or limit porn

(Some guys can handle porn just fine. Others can’t. Here are signs you may be one of those others.)

  1. If you hate women for any reason.
  2. If you are getting old and have never dated.
  3. If you think a woman is not pretty if she doesn’t have certain restricted features.
  4. If you divorced your wife because she got “old”.
(I am not perfect on this issue but I’m a lot better than I used to be. And my attitude towards women has improved some. I hope if your one of those guys you can limit or quit porn. Thank you,)

I’ve had sex in the past using my body and my eyes and yes I climaxed and thought it was good sex. When I fell in love and was sexual with a man who truly loved me, it was different. I was satisfied on a deeper level and came to realize that some sexual behaviors are unhealthy psychologically. For me porn is unhealthy, and I consider most people who look at it to be underdeveloped.

Additionally, when I was a minor, unknown to me, I was filmed having sex and later informed I was in a porno. This, and the general treatment of the people in porn is another serious reason to quit porn.

Oh no. That’s awful. Are you ok? Knowing you’re in a porn video somewhere in the world is extremely difficult to deal with. I’m so sorry

Perhaps a lot of young people’s first sexual experiences are related to porn— especially these days, as it’s pretty accessible by way of Internet.

That could potentially set one up for unrealistic expectations, and perhaps even psychological damage over time (depending on type of content consumed vs. healthy/realistic IRL sexual acts).

I dunno, there’s definitely some kinks out there for sure (Google “drone porn,” I dare ya ), but I think porn can sometimes take away agency from a participant in exchange for highly explicit and sometimes shocking content all for the sake of views.

Lots of eyebrow-raising shiit on the internet, depending on who you talk to. Furthermore, some of these participants may be coerced, underage, or even unknowing of their own involvement— which is sad, predatory, and not the way “healthy” sex should be, IMO.

I think over time, too much consumption of certain types of porn can really be detrimental and erosive to what is essentially a positive human experience.

When I used to watch porn I felt less pleasure down there when I masturbated if I didn’t watch it. I stopped and this went away.

Porn is fun once in a while when you’re feeling kinky/ horny.

My wife and I have no issues in this department.

Porn will be there, if you watch it or not. So are horror, scfi, drama, romance, documentary etc…You can actually read pornliterature. I don’t know, watching movies take away your imagination, is it a good thing or bad thing?

I don’t need porn. Plus I turn to messed up things on porn sites. Which is not great 4 my mind. I also suspect that in my case, it causes physical damage. It is just me, I can’t speak for others since we are all unique

I just remember reading more about serial killers in the news back in the day before the internet.

Perhaps, on some level now young psychopaths with sexual urges are getting relief from on-line porn and not going on murderous rampages.

A theory anyways.

Porn sets unrealistic expectations. But i love it. Ive had serious girlfriends and non serious girlfriends. I have been single for about 5 years now. Just have nkt really met any women. I worked landscaping for a while and lived in the mountains. I havent worked with a girl my age in 8 years. And once you hit 30 most girls are claimed already.

If you think porn is realistic you are sadly mistaken. Its a fantasy. Although the one girl i dated liked to be choked. I had trouble doing that though. It felt unnatural.

There is honestly a serious debate about whether or not this is the case. Some folks think the porn desensitizes people to violence, and makes them more likely to act on their thoughts. Others think that it provides an outlet that keeps them from acting.

I have no idea which one I believe. I personally don’t watch any, because I know some current and former porn actors personally and I don’t want to stumble across them in that capacity.

I’d like to see a study.

Has serial sexual crimes/ murders decreased since the advent of internet porn? I just have this inclination that they have gone down.

It would probably be difficult to quantify, because people report assaults more often now, and that would likely skew the results.

I don’t remember school shootings being a thing before the Net.

There’s arguments for both sides, as there are with most things that don’t lie in the realm of extremes.

Porn is often the only outlet for people who are new to the kink world, and aren’t involved in the community. Or even people who are just not good at socializing.

There’s a lot of horrible stuff involved in the porn industry, but I don’t think it’s necessarily bad at face value. The worst part is what the producers put the workers through. Some corrupt and evil stuff gets done to the stars, and it’s definitely not a healthy environment. Websites like Onlyfans are probably good for the industry because it is basically freelance porn without as much influence from producers and the issues that come from working with a large production company.
