The low cost vet refused to treat my dog due to his age. They said he needs to go to a full service vet for a full senior wellness blood panel. I’ve been calling around. The cheapest price I found is at the vet school super far away for $200 + the cost of the exam. So, I’ve decided to skip the vet meds and just do Cbd oil. I wish vet care was more affordable. My regular vet quoted $450 for a visit and blood panel. Not happening. Ugh.

His name is Wolfie. He’s 13 and has arthritis. I was hoping to get prescribed anti inflammatories for him but I simply can’t afford the blood tests they require to get those meds. Apparently, at his age, he’d need the blood test before receiving the prescription, and then every 6 months to be sure the meds aren’t causing him harm.

Arthritis is very common in some breeds.

He’s a little better with the glucosamine I’ve been giving him for several months now. But I can tell he’s still in a bit of pain. I found the cbd oil I’m going to try first at a specialty pet store near me. If that doesn’t work, I’m going to order it online based on a recommendation I received. I’m just trying to get the lower cost option first.
