It has come to my attention twice that people do not know how to send PMs.
You do not need to go to a profile. Go to the envelope, click it twice. You will see options to create a new PM.
Once opened you will manually wnte the screename of whoever you want to PM.
You can send people PMS through the mail now?

That’s not a very intuitive design decision . I think I’m gonna complain to the developers of the forum software.
Only by overnight delivery. It tends to spoil if delivery takes too long.
I think it would make more sense to just put the message button when you tap their profile icon unless they turn off PMing.
That way you would quickly be able to PM or instantly know you can’t.

Thanks for confirming that. Sometimes its difficult to know whats only in the Mod view and whats in the standard user view.

It’s different for mods. Mods have that even when profile is private. Regular members dont have that on a private profile.
I noticed this when I was able to pm zombie this way when I become a mod. I couldnt before.
I think people should know only other members can see their profiles.
It doesn’t show your stats when you view the forum publicly
Yeah, I understand that aspect of the Mod view . You cant hide from the Mods! 
oh ok. I think thats what headspark is saying though, that he couldnt pm zombie that way because her profile is private…I dunno maybe I’m confused.
I know mine allows people to message me.
I was referring to people that have made their profiles private. ZombieMombie has her profile hidden, yet I can still send her a message in the convoluted way she mentioned.
I’m saying because she allows people to PM her her profile should show the message button like my profile does, which it doesn’t, which is stupid.
That’s why I am going to complain to the people that designed this forum software. If it made sense I could click her profile pic and if I see the message button I could click it and quickly message her BUT if that message button was missing I wouldn’t instantly know she doesn’t accept private messages. Simple and straight forward.
The way it is now I have to follow the instructions she mentioned for anyone with a hidden profile. Then when I get to that PM section, I have to type out their name to see if they even accept PMs. When I type out ZombieMombies name it shows up. It’s an inefficient system.

It’s understandable. You missed the threads earlier where @Headspark was trying to pm zombie. Just reading this thread alone wouldnt completely clue you into what it was about. You didnt have the context.
