I talk to myself to comfort myself in the mirror…my own solution to self affiirmation. It really helps me. I feel great.
If thats your personal coping skill - carry on mate. We all have our wierd and wonderful ways of doing it lol.
I should… but I don’t. Maybe I will start. I have poor self image. I’m very critical of myself.
I “love myself” in the mirror…I talk to myself complimenting myself and talking myself into a better feeling about myself…
Mostly, since COVID in January seems to have given me much more gray hairs, I look in the mirror and say something like, “My hair isn’t very gray yet! It is salted!”

No. I do try to reframe my conversations in a positive manner when I can.

i worked on self esteem with one of my social workers
she told to pick two affirmations and write them down every day
i never did it cause i didn’t believe it
so i got a bracelet with the affirmations engraved
now any time i feel my bracelet the affirmations remind me im a good person
