So finally after all my struggling to see a pdoc I finally got an appointment for Tuesday. My usual pdoc said I should rather see another pdoc because she’s not clued up on latest on psychotic disorders. Was surprised she said that because she helped me a lot.
This new pdoc I’m seeing was one I saw in 2013. He also thought I had sza. I’m interested to hear what he has to say.
At least I can get a new prescription!
What meds do you take now and what symptoms still bothers you?
400mg amisulpride and 10mg olanzapine
Might need antidepressant as my main symptom is depression but I also get anxiety and thought insertion sometimes and paranoia
Before I I got my sza dx I was with a dr that said my case was too hard for him. I clearly had bipolar but it was mixed states and wouldn’t go away with the abilify, lamotrogine, and benzos he was prescribing.
So sometimes doctors are at a loss too.
I had good improvements switching to lithium and geodon until the hallucinations came.
Then invega was added and geodon removed. Emotionally I’ve felt best on this combo except for extreme fatigue
