Sedation From Antipsychotics

I used to take a typical antipsychotic injection. I got bad eps from it at first. Now I take 400mg of Seroquel at night. My only complaint is a little while after I take it I don’t feel very good sometimes. I assume it is the sedation. It certainly is nowhere near as bad as dystonia or akathisia though.

I took it not long ago and I’m not feeling 100%. The sedation goes away for me by 3 hours after taking it if I stay awake, which I often do.

have you told your doctor?

i’m wondering if the dose is too high.

No I haven’t told my doctor. 400mg is about the lowest dose you can take for shizophrenia if it is the only antipsychotic you are taking.
