Nah - I quite often buy a couple of scotch eggs to keep in the fridge when i get hungry in the early hours - that and a slice of pork pie with branston pickle on the side. I keep something like that in the fridge when i cannot be arsed to cook.
Haggis is very tasty.
I used to buy pork pies and Scotch eggs for lunches , but haven’t for quite a few months as I’m trying to eat more healthily and lose some weight.
Black pudding is a pretty bad one. I hate the idea of food made out of blood.
Ive got some black pudding i got straight from scotland in my freezer. Its quite tasty fried. Apart from the fat content its good for you too. Full of Iron.
Supermarket pork pie’s aren’t nothing compared to butchers brought pork pies with jelly. A nice dollop of brown sauce and they are brilliant.
The idea of eating pigs blood though, it makes me want to turn vegan.
I’d agree with that. Unfortunately looking for butchers in my local directory just says “See convenience stores and supermarkets”
I get intimidated in butchers shops. I don’t know the name of cuts of meat plus I don’t know what weight to buy
All I know is that if it’s not Scottish it’s crap!
Yeah Scottish meat is the best
Are you Scottish @nfy?
@anon94176359
Try asking it in moneys worth. I dont have a clue either - I just say to the local butcher when i get my fat pork chops to give me £15 quids worth. More often than not i reckon i get extra.
That is a really good idea @Naarai. I will do that
No, it was a joke from back in the day on SNL.
It’s a skit done by Mike Myers.
But I do like Scottish meat.
I think mike Myers dad was Scottish. He plays a funny Scottish guy in ‘so I married an axe murderer’
Full English wins it on the list for me.
I think a Scottish breakfast is similar but includes haggis
Never tried haggis.
