because there are some cultures like mine that always say that schizophrenia is black magic, this is very annoying because I don’t see myself as a person possessed by a demon, is this prejudice or is it cultural?

My meds take care of it and I see it’s all hundred percent as a medical issue

I could see where it could be confusing I saw things before they happened bcz my voices told me so. But I tried to never listen to them.
Anyways meds have taken voices away. Thank goodness

It’s an old way of thinking, carried over from before they had scientific facts about schizophrenia. There’s still a lot they don’t know about schizophrenia but I think we now know it is a diagnosable disease.

I was into the supernatural, experiencing strange unexplainable things when I was very sick for years but it was schizophrenia and bipolar that was causing these spiritual symptoms.
It’s an illusion.

Bc people didn’t understand mental illness is just like any illness but it’s in our mind.

A bad cultural thing, I hate to say. I wish you lots of care and kindness in your life, wherever you are and from. I was always thought of being the odd ball in life, and they thought I was a weird child as well. Yet, what you are face is prejudistic Culturally devised separatism.

I used to get so mad at people in the church who told me it was a demon making me sick. I hated that!
