Jukebox, you really want to give up. You’ve tried everything except ecigs. Is there a place that sells ecigs that you can travel to, so they can show you how they work?
thanks @everhopeful I got this. I have a month of nicotine gum and that’s just the way I roll…gum or nothing. gum really helps. I’m trying to see how long I can go before I use more of the gum. I’m only chewing like a piece every four hours or so. so my body will naturally accept relief from the gum. I’m a seasoned veteran at stopping smoking and for each time I failed I"ve been searching for that “mind set” I had when I stopped for 82 days at the end of last year. I know now cigarettes are only gonna hurt me if I smoke now. and it’s a very calming effect on cravings.
OK, good luck, I know it’s not easy. Cigarettes can be sneaky beyond belief.
I stopped at 67. X-Rays showed mild to moderate emphysema. Spit up blood two or three times. It is**emphasized text scary. You have to want to stop enough to know that you will stop when you stop. Advice of this kind in these posts is nice but it isn’t effective. Stopping is something you have to do yourself.
Plan on switching to vape in a couple of years
Me myself am addicted to vaping at the moment but the great thing is is that i don’t like cigarettes anymore. Its alot more healthy and i’m saving a small fortune too
I would see a doctor about this @jukebox
Michael once you switch to ecigs, then you can use the gum, and after about 2 weeks, you will be free from cigs completely. If not, keep doing the same, ecigs and the gum. At one point you will see that you don’t need either one. It’s a great feeling.
i told my doctor last time I spit up blood and he said I just smoke too much. I appreciate everybody trying to get me to vape, but I’ve heard bad things about vaping so I don’t want to go that route. the gum is fine.
Try the patch. It works for me. I haven’t smoked in a month and a half.
Remember this whenever - forever - for whatever reason.you might want a cigarette.
The patch worked for me too.
