I’m taking myself off Caplyta. It’s not working for me any better than Geodon was. In fact, if I trace back to when I started feeling really bad/depressed, it’s back to July when I started Caplyta. AND It makes me hungry all the time, and doesn’t seem to give me the wherewithal to stop myself from eating. I lost weight on Geodon.

Yes, I’m still flat on Geodon, but like I said, it’s no worse. Plus, it’s available as a generic.

I have plenty of leftover Geodon from before. I - obviously - can’t get in touch with my pdoc today or tomorrow, but because of my insight, he gives me a ton of leeway to work with my meds. I’m sure he would just say, “ok” about this.

Even if he didn’t – it’s my head. And it’s not like I’m going back to something unproven.

Thanks for letting me vent. I’m just so frustrated by the weight gain and depression.

Maybe you can try an antidepressant with the geodon?

I’m already on one. :pensive: (Pristiq)

It does wonders for my anxiety, but nothing for my depression. The only meds that ever touched my depression were MAOIs, but one of them pooped out on me. When I tried it again, it made me anxious. The other MAOI I tried gave me Parkinson’s like symptoms.

I’m working on it…

Edit: plus I’m constantly moving and chewing the inside of my face on Caplyta. Ugh. It was supposed to be better for depression.

Ebay had 20% off Lenovo products plus Lenovo’s black friday deals. I bought a mousepad for 4$CA, a laptop sleeve for 12$CA and a laptop backpack for 15$. The laptop backpack cost 40$ originally.

I’m SZA/bipolar.

I’ve always struggled with antidepressants because of it, but like I said, Pristiq does wonders for my crippling anxiety.

I’m on lamictal, and that works well as a mood stabilizer for me, which is probably why I can handle the Pristiq.

I wonder if I’m having trouble with the Caplyta because it’s supposed to have some effect like an SSRI, and there’s not a single one of those I can handle.

I won’t buy the tablet as I am sure its too heavy to hold in bed for a whole movie. I will stick to my phone.

Ugh. That’s the worst. Did they charge a lot?

What a pain in the butt, having to cancel and get new cards, etc etc etc

Guess we are eating soon. The turkey is being cut up and it looks like everything else is ready so now just some pickles and olives are being trayed.

What am I doing to help?

Well, I will be doing a big bulk of the dishes. That’s my contribution.

:yum:

I’m watching question period in Canadian Parliament right now. They are debating our relationship with the US.

I love watching question period, not so much because you learn all that much, but because of the back and forth barbs between party members. It’s entertaining and funny at times.

I think it’s called question period and not answer period for a reason. You can tell they are sometimes playing to the cameras.

Man I think my increased depot is quite ’activating’. This is bad news for me. I don’t do well on activating meds.

In the two days since the depot I have been anxious. This sucks
