Sarcosine not good? or am i wrong please read

it sais The GlyT-1 inhibitor sarcosine (N-methyl glycine) was shown to be effective in the treatment of schizophrenia [13-15]. These clinical studies using sarcosine have stimulated the development of the selective GlyT-1 inhibitors because the uptake of sarcosine into the brain is not good.

so is sarcosine bad??? or do i misunderstand

When I took it I didn’t really feel any effect from it, but that could have been because it was synthetic sarcosine and not natural. If I could afford it I might try the more natural kind, but right now I can’t justify the expense.

You are misunderstanding. Sarcosine stimutlates glyT-1 inhibitors, which is a good thing. The reason sarcosine has this positive effect is because the brain does not want to absorb extra sarcosine. It’s kind of like how calcium supplements have extra vitamin D. Our bodies don’t necessarily need the extra vitamin D, but it changes the way calcium is absorbed into the body. Does that make sense?
