Thanks for this info. How long have you been on the Haldol?
Edited to add: is this helpful for persistent delusions?

I got on it just this year.
It enables me to realize what is delusional
Iāve read of people being on up to 100mg haldol a day. How can 1mg be an effective dose for psychosis. have you ever considered that you might be in remission?
Yeah, I know that I am in remission. I am just dependent on this tiny bit of haldol. I plan on possibly tapering off of it.
The real reason I am doing better is because I took control of the rest of my existence. Diet is the number one variable, and technology programming is number two.
Just do not watch programs on screensā¦maybe a select few you wouldnt mind being influenced by. Unless you are reading text, everything from electronic screens is brainwashing you. However, the delivery of text may be organized in a way that fries your dopamine systems for addiction, such as social media and most smart phone apps.
If you are gonna use a phone, make sure you are reading the writings of sound minds, because if you read writings of unsound minds, it will inform you to become unglued.
Critically think about everything you ever experience.
I guess Haldol is unique in that people respond at different ranges now that Iāve actually done the research. The daily recommended dose for those with minimal symptoms is .5-2.0 mg.
Weirdly enough many are on dozens that amount and have inadequate response. What a weird neuroleptic.
Mouse (@AmateurUnlicensedQuack) I would stay on meds if I were you.
You donāt want to unravel again.
I see your point. My plan is to extremely gradually taper off, so that by the time I am done with training (probably six years) I will be fit for various lines of work. Being on an antipsychotic is sort of a burden, by all means.
There are lots of people that manage to work while being on an Antipsychotic.
I wouldnāt taper off if I was you. You tell us you have some symptoms now. Seems to me that you are just taking enough to cope. Going off could push you over the edge. I only take 4 my ,I have zero symptoms. But I know if I taper off I will be hospitalized. Because Iāve done it twice. If your having no side effects and itās dirt cheap ,why stop. If you get hospitalized , next time they will want to change you to a different med ,they always do.
