Someone, my memory isn’t good enough to know who, posted a question awhile back about whether or not we have a bucket list. I said no, and others said yes or no for various reasons. After spending more of my life on simply existing/surviving, I decided that I should make a bucket list!
I don’t ever do anything. I literally just exist from day to day. That’s necessary sometimes because I’m trying to survive another day, but things have gotten better for me and I’m ready to add more to my life!
I was thinking about a coworker who recently ran a marathon. I don’t want to run a marathon, but what I was thinking about was the fact that she has so many people supporting her and cheering her and now celebrating her success. It was a battle for her and she did it! I thought about how I don’t have anyone cheering on my daily survival. It’s too abstract, and in reality that’s all I’m ever doing. It’s time to move on from that and make some goals: a bucket list.
I want to do more than just exist.
