Restless legS

Hello,

I am suffering from intense restless legs when i get into bed to go to sleep.

I have tried putting a potato in my bed with me but hasnt done anything,

I have tried magnesium but hasnt worked either.

Do you have any ideas??

Apparently sleeping with a potato helps restless legs in bed.

When I was on haloperidol I suffered from restless legs as well. Like nervepain. I 've been told to get used to it. Miraculously I managed to change medication after 10

years or so. Hang in there. Sometimes torcher can have therapeutic…whatever

I have had restless legs syndrome for many years, there are meds for treating it, I have Pramipexole.

My legs are also restless when I go to sleep… Especially my left leg. I drink half of a 5mg Valium every second night and it helps almost 100%. Not sure if it is the right thing to do though but take it up with your pdoc cause it can be a side effect from your AP.

I had a hell of a time with this on haloperidol, 5mg Procyclidine once a day helped me a lot with this. I’m sure there are other similar drugs in this category that might help (I’m in the UK so not sure what availability is where you are)

Gabapentin eliminated my restless legs at night.

Interesting that you are all talking about haldol, today a patient at the daytreatment asked me if I was on it because I’m always pacing…

Luckily the meds knock me out so much that I fall asleep even ‘pacing’ in my bed…

Clopixol is my drug. I swear on it. I don’t have any side effects compared to haloperidol. Except when you come off them, there are inconvenient problems.
