Christmas night she called in a panic. She was all alone, disoriented, delusional, she only knew the city and that she was at a Jack in the Box. She didn’t even know how she got there. She didn’t know what happened to the man she went with. She was cold and hungry and terrified. Pleading for me to come get her. She kept flipping back and forth between telling me she loved me and wanted just to come home and telling me she hated me and wanted me to die.
She was the worst I’ve ever witnessed her to be.
The city she was in wasn’t too far from her first stepfather so I called him to see if he could go get her and he was unable but he was able to take her in temporarily so I tried to get an Uber to take her to him but I couldn’t get the website to work. I called my sister to see if she could help. She couldn’t get it to work either.
I thought all was lost and my daughter’s phone was dying. I didn’t know what to do. My sister said what about Lyft? So she went on their website and within 10 minutes a car was at that Jack in a Box picking up my daughter.
Right now my daughter is detoxing with the first man she called daddy who was always there for her and loves her to the moon and back. I couldn’t think of a better place for her right now. She’s off the streets finally warm and fed. And away from the man with the needle.
things are going to pan out okay dont lose hope. The tough battles are reserved for the strong. Yall are going to pull through
